First Class Lease®
First Class Lease® Overview
The First Class Lease® by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS) is a customizable leasing program that allows you to drive a new Mercedes-Benz with tailored terms and mileage, aligning with your unique driving profile. Available at Mercedes-Benz of Marion, it offers significant flexibility and financial benefits, making luxury accessible for both first-time buyers and seasoned enthusiasts.
Key Features:
Customized Mileage and Terms
Mileage Options: Adjust annual mileage to fit your needs. High-mileage drivers can increase allowances, while low-mileage drivers can lower mileage to reduce monthly payments.
Lease Terms: Choose terms from 24 to 60 months, offering flexibility for short-term luxury or longer commitments. This suits varied lifestyles, from rural to urban buyers.
Lease-End Flexibility (First Class Finish)
At lease end, choose from three options (varies by state):
Return: Return the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Marion, leveraging First Class Lease Protection to cover minor wear (e.g., dents, scratches, up to certain limits).
Extend: Extend the lease for continued use, ideal for customers awaiting new models.
Buy: Purchase the vehicle at a predetermined residual value.
Financial Benefits
No Standard Security Deposit: No upfront deposit required, though a Multiple Security Deposit option (up to 10 refundable deposits) can lower monthly payments in some states, refundable or rollable at lease end.
Single Payment Option: Pay a lump-sum upfront to eliminate monthly payments, saving on interest.
GAP Waiver: Covers the difference between insurance proceeds and the balance owed if the vehicle is totaled (e.g., accident/theft), less deductible, providing peace of mind.
Business Tax Savings: If ≥50% of driving is business-related, customers may claim tax deductions. Sales tax is based on monthly payments, not vehicle value, reducing costs in most states (consult tax advisor).
Auto Pay: Payments deducted from checking accounts, simplifying billing for busy owners.
Insurance Flexibility
Cost Savings: Higher deductibles can lower premiums, ideal for budget-conscious clients. Confirm with insurance agents.
Simple Claims Process: Notify MBFS Support Services (1-866-321-8351) for accidents/thefts. Joint-payee checks sent to MBFS for repairs, speeding up release from body shops.
*Comprehensive and collision insurance required, with MBFS as loss payee (P.O. Box 685, Roanoke, TX 76262). Maximum deductibles vary by state.
First Class Lease Protection
Optional coverage for lease-end wear (e.g., minor dents, scratches, tire wear beyond normal use). Cost added to monthly payments, ensuring a smooth return process.
Benefit: Reduces lease-end charges, appealing to clients wary of repair costs. Check out other First Class Protection options with itemized pricing here.
How the First Class Lease® Works
Leasing a Mercedes-Benz is like getting VIP access to drive a luxurious car for a set time—usually 2–3 years—without buying it. You make affordable monthly payments, enjoy the ride, and return the car when the lease ends (or buy it if you fall in love).
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Choose Your Dream Mercedes-Benz
Make an appointment to visit Mercedes-Benz of Marion or browse our inventory online to pick your perfect Mercedes-Benz—maybe a sporty C-Class, a family-friendly GLS SUV, or a powerful AMG® model. Schedule a test drive with our Sales Team to make sure it's the right Mercedes-Benz for you.
Step 2: Determine the Terms of Your Lease
Work with our Sales Team expertise to determine your lease terms (like 24 or 36 months) and how many miles you’ll drive yearly (with options ranging from 7,500 - 20,000 miles available) . We'll assist you in planning a lease that best fits your specific style of driving to ensure you get the best lease experience possible.
Step 3: Sign and Celebrate
Review the lease contract, which lists your monthly payment, mileage limit, and responsibilities. Payments are lower than a car loan because you’re only paying for the car’s use during the lease. Handle any upfront costs due at time of lease activation, sign the dotted line, and get ready to hit the road in style!
Step 4: Enjoy the Ride
Drive your Mercedes-Benz like it’s yours, but keep it in great shape. Follow the maintenance schedule (like oil changes) at an authorized retailer like Mercedes-Benz of Marion—for more infomation, check out further reading on servicing a Mercedes-Benz here. Keep in mind that you’ll also need full car insurance, with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services listed on your policy.
Step 5: Choose Your Next Adventure
When the lease ends, you'll have options! You can return the car and walk away (you might pay a disposition fee, often waived if you lease another Mercedes), buy the car for a pre-set price (the “residual value”) if you decide you're not ready to part with your current ride, or lease a new Mercedes-Benz and keep the luxury rolling with a fresh model.

How are sales tax and personal property tax billed?
Sales Tax is assessed and collected by the state in which a customer resides. Sales tax is billed either monthly or upfront depending on the state law. If the account is billed for upfront sales tax, the tax must be paid upon execution of your lease agreement. If it is billed as monthly sales tax, the tax will be added to the monthly payment amount. All sales tax must be paid on time to avoid possible negative effects on your credit.
Personal property tax is collected by the tax assessor's office in the county/city in which the vehicle is registered and/or garaged. Personal property tax is billed monthly, annually or semi-annually depending on that county/city's billing process. The taxing authority dictates the amount of taxes owed and the timing of the invoice(s). Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will receive a bill from the taxing authority, and will pay the amount directly to the taxing authority; this amount will be charged to your account.
In some states, both sales tax and personal property tax may be assessed on your vehicle.
Can I take the vehicle outside of the US?
Leased vehicles are restricted to the United States. However, you may take the vehicle to Canada or Mexico for 30 days or less. Please call 1.800.654.6222 for details and assistance.
What should I do when I receive my registration renewal? (CA residents only)

Upon receipt of the notice of overdue registration, MBFS will pay the outstanding amount and any penalties or fees and charge your account for the amount.

Vehicle Care
What are my responsibilities for the repair and maintenance of my Mercedes-Benz?
The terms of your Lease Agreement require you to have your vehicle serviced as recommended by the manufacturer and have all necessary repairs made. Refer to your Owner's Manual for specific maintenance policies and schedules.
What is considered excess wear and use?
The standards for excess wear and use are set forth in your Lease Agreement.
What happens in case of inadequate or substandard repairs?
You could be billed for repairs that don't meet the standards of the manufacturer. The best way to avoid this is to have your vehicle serviced by an authorized Mercedes-Benz Dealer. To find the one nearest you, call 1.800.FOR MERCEDES (1.800.367.6372) or visit MBUSA.com. Please refer to your Lease Agreement for specific details.
Citations
What happens if I get a citation (such as parking, speeding, red-light, or toll ticket)?
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services will be notified by the citing authority of any citations incurred by you, the lessee. MBFS pays parking and toll tickets and adds the charges to your account. First notices of speeding and red-light tickets are forwarded to you. If MBFS receives a second notice for a speeding or red-light ticket, we will pay the amount of the ticket and any penalties or fees assessed and charge that amount to your account. Per your lease agreement, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services may charge an administration fee for paying such tickets. Please refer to your Lease Agreement for the amount of the fee. When you receive a forwarded ticket, you should pay the ticket directly to the citing authority and keep record of that payment.
If you often drive on toll roads, MBFS recommends setting up a toll tag account. Lessees with toll tag accounts receive notifications directly from the toll company rather than through MBFS and typically benefit from discounted toll charges. Additionally, many toll companies impose fees for mailing notices, which can vary.
I received an invoice from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services for a parking ticket I have already paid. How can I remove the parking ticket charges from my account?
The Municipality sent the parking ticket to Mercedes-Benz Finacial Services for payment which may have included penalties. If you have paid the violation, please send MBFS a copy of your payment receipt (front and back), along with the citation number.
You can fax this information to MBFS at 877-281-2087, Attn: Parking Tickets. If you prefer, you can mail the documentation to P.O. Box 685, Roanoke, TX 76262, Attn: Citations Department.
MBFS will review the citation and the date that the payment(s) were received by the Municipality. If your initial payment was received in full by the Municipality, MBFS will request a refund from the Municipality. If the MBFS payment was received by the Municipality first, you will need to contact the Municipality for a refund.
Why did the fee from my parking ticket include an additional administrative fee from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services?
The fee is assessed to each parking ticket to cover the administrative costs associated with handling the violation.
